DePuy Synthes acquires 3D printing technology for patient-specific implants
DePuy Synthes, an orthopaedic and neurological branch of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ), has acquired 3D printing technology from Michigan-based Tissue Regeneration Systems. The full financial terms remain undisclosed, but the technology will support fabrication of patient-specific implants that promote the regrowth of bone tissue. A demonstration of 3D printed implants.
